This is thoroughly traumatizing noise horror, and even with Halloween still a month off, it's hard to imagine a more terrifying album to come this year.

This is her strongest album to date and one where “noise” is but a tool towards a much more expansive expression of music.

Hoffmeier’s fourth solo album The Drought sees her graduating from the Copenhagen based label Posh Isolation to PAN to deliver her strongest statement yet. [Nov 2018, p.62]
  4. Oct 29, 2018
    76
The Drought is compelling because Hoffmeier is so clearly in charge.

The Drought’s glacial intensity and dead-eyed focus force you to approach it on its own terms, but one senses that Hoffmeier is just getting started.
