2016’s Battlefield 1 was a refreshing revisit to the first World War that introduced new elements to the genre. Battlefield V refines some of those features, but doesn’t break any new innovative ground. It has enough content to keep you occupied, possesses a decent progression system that keeps you invested, and will receive free future DLC without a whiff of loot crates or microtransactions. However, it follows an expected blueprint that may quickly grow stale for players looking for a fresh FPS experience.

Battlefield V is already better than its excellent predecessor, even though we'll have to wait for some promised components which will actually make it a bigger game as well.

Not as drastic a change up as its WW1 predecessor, nor as wild or wondrous, Battlefield 5’s deliberative design sidelines its strengths as a simulative sandbox.

What in the world is this game? A joke. A disgrace to World War 2 veterans. I can't believe I got this pile of garbage. MicrotransactionsWhat in the world is this game? A joke. A disgrace to World War 2 veterans. I can't believe I got this pile of garbage. Microtransactions galore, same looks and textures from Battlefield 1 in 2016. Poor AI in the campaign which, by the way was one of the worst stories I've played from DICE. No interesting plot, no rememberable characters. Go to Point A, Point B, come back and repeat. Why support a company that does this? Outrageous that it's a 60 dollar game too. Do not buy, wait for a better game! Full Review »

This game had the full potential to be an epic game, but it made all the wrong decisions for all the wrong reasons. Company Greed and PCThis game had the full potential to be an epic game, but it made all the wrong decisions for all the wrong reasons. Company Greed and PC detroyed the WW2 setting beyond recognition. This is so very tragic.
+2 points for the graphics and audio, which are very good.

However, the game is totally lacking content, the campaign was 3 hours at best, and mostly made out of uninteresting stealth missions, even worse the most boring missions are the longest. Multiplayer is also lacking a lot of content, it has even fewer guns than bf1 at launch, and most of them are reskins of bf1, in general i recomend to wait a year to see if they add more content or let the game die, also to see how microtransactions will be handled.
